  16. Here comes a further update of StartupControl. It`s a MINOR UPDATE.
  17.  
  18. StartupControl is a  "multifunctional utility"  for your Startup-Sequence.
  19. It was designed with the  intention  to offer direct control to  the boot-
  20. process combined with easiest operation and much comfort.
  21. With StartupControl you  can  get  information  about the status  of  your
  22. computer and set a desired configuration every time your Amiga boots.
  23.  
  24. Comparable tools mostly  offer only  one out of StartupControls options or
  25. are very  specific  to a single  topic and  overloaded  with  features and
  26. therefore not easy to use.

  28. StartupControl tries to close this gap and offer useful features which are
  29. easy to use.

  32. NEW in V2.33
  33.     o Easy PAL    : When Pal-option is activated, only Workbench Screen
  34.                     will be patchec to PAL. Monitordrivers will be loaded,
  35.                     so you can switch to other resolutions later.
  36.     o RegTool     : There is a new version of ADSG`s RegTool included.
  37.                     This should make on problems anymore.

  71. Hier  kommt  nun  die  neueste  Version von  StartupControl.  Diesmal  als
  72. MINOR UPDATE.
  73.  
  74. StartupControl ist ein "Multifunktions-Utility" für Ihre Startup-Sequence.
  75. Es wurde mit der Absicht entworfen, mittels einfachster Bedienung und viel
  76. Komfort, gezielt in den Boot-Prozeß eingreifen zu können.
  77. Sie können sich mit StartupControl über den Zustand ihres Computers infor-
  78. mieren und bei jedem Booten des  Rechners eine beliebige Konfiguration auf
  79. einfachste Weise einstellen.

  81. Vergleichbare Programme bieten meist  nur eine der in Startup-Control ent-
  82. haltenen Funktionen oder  sind  sehr fachspezifisch und funktionsüberladen
  83. und dadurch schwer bedienbar.

  85. StartupControl will in diese Lücke  stoßen und sinnvolle Funktionen leicht
  86. verständlich zur  Verfügung stellen.  Für  Anregungen zur  Erweiterung und
  87. Verbesserung bestehender Funktionen bin ich dankbar.

  91.     o Easy PAL  : Wenn die Pal-Option aktiviert ist, wird nur der Workbench-
  92.                   Screen gepatched. Die Monitortreiber werden geladen, sodaß
  93.                   später auf andere Auflösungen gewechselt werden kann.
  94.     o RegTool   : Eine überarbeitete Version des RegTools von ADSG liegt dem
  95.                   Paket bei. Damit sollten die Probleme der Vorversion
  96.                   Vergangenheit sein.

  99. weitere Funktionen:
  100.     o kompletter Assign-Manager: Dieser übernimmt, auf Wunsch, das Ein-
  101.       tragen aller Assigns aus Startup-Sequence und User-Startup.
  102.     o Alternative Startup-Sequencen mit komfortabler Auswahlmöglichkeit
  103.     o CacheControl bietet Kontrolle über Cache, Burst und Copyback Modes
  104.     o LastAlert zeigt ausführliche Informationen über den letzten Guru.
  105.       Diese Informationen können auf Wunsch in ein Logfile gespeichert
  106.       werden.
  107.     o Automatische Laufwerksüberprüfung aller Laufwerke (Validation)
  108.       während des Bootens
  109.     o StartupControl überwacht die Systemzeit. Sollte diese nach
  110.       einem Absturz verstellt sein, öffnet StartupConrtrol ein Fenster
  111.       indem Datum und Zeit bequem wieder eingestellt werden können.
  112.     o Schreibschutz für beliebige Laufwerke (z.B: Festplatten)
  113.     o Booten ohne WBStartup und/oder User-Startup, wenn gewünscht
  114.     o Booten im PAL-Modus erzwingen (bei TV-Anschuß)
  115.       Dabei können Auflösung und Farbtiefe frei gewählt werden
  116.     o Starten von Scripten und Programmen direkt über StartupControl
  117.     o Übersicht über die wichtigsten Systemvektoren
  118.     o Öffnen von Shell Fenstern
  119.     o komfortable Oberfläche (Style-Guide konform)
  120.     o Countdown Funktion: StartupControl wartet eine gewählte Anzahl von
